Based on her memoir of the same name,
Sue Kenney’s Confessions of a Pilgrim
is a real-life fable. Portrayed here in a documentary short
film, it is an emotionally gratifying, spiritually rewarding
and personally inspiring memoir of Sue’s physically grueling
and mentally challenging reprise of her first trek. Sue’s
life journey continues, going even further and deeper into the
mystery of the Camino, by asking the questions we want asked
and facing the fears that confront us all.

Confessions of a Pilgrim (i-Universe
Publishers / Distributed by White Knight Books) more
deeply explores the terrain of multi-talented author Sue Kenney's
first book, My Camino. She returns to the celebrated
ancient Spanish pilgrimage path to walk 500 kilometers alone
on the Portuguese Route. Prior to leaving, she was entrusted
with a sacred Eagle Feather by a Native friend as a result
of a vivid dream. Her overt mission -- to find a worthy recipient
before returning home. But the Camino presents her with dramatic
and intensely personal truths, which she shares in her live
performance reading here.
Sue's Launch Event in Toronto's Lula Lounge was an opportunity
to share a little of that drama through her own reading as
well as presentations from friends and artists including fellow
pilgrim/author Robert Ward, musician Leon Kingstone, filmmaker
Karen Hines (My Name is Pochsy: An Industrial Film), Bruce
Pirrie and his comedy troupe The Gents all brought together
under the deft hosting talent of engaging MC Naomi Snieckus.
The BookShorts film was also screened.

Suddenly downsized out of the corporate telecom
industry, Sue Kenney, a business woman, mother of three
teenage daughters and a world class masters rower, embarked
on a journey walking 780 kilometers across the north of
Spain on a quest to discover her life purpose. Her first
book, My Camino, tells the true story of a woman
confronting her deepest fear.
Her second work, Confessions of a Pilgrim (release
date July 2007) deepens the story of her journey on the
Camino de Santiago de Compostela, and speaks to the insights
possible through travel as a means to personal growth.
In this profile, Sue Kenney and editor Bruce Pirrie speak
frankly about transforming a real life fable into the BookShort
adaptation Confessions of a Pilgrim.
