Duma Blogging "Bitter Tonic" From "On the Lot" in Hollywood

Video thumbnail. Click to play http://www.bookshorts.com/ ... a practically unknown dude by the name of Speilberg, by means of his back-pocket buddies at Ford Motor Company, offered our very own star director Irene Duma a fun-filled trip to Hollywood to cure her boredom. Now who could refuse that? "Not I" said she! The next few days she'll be on the junket with a posse of indie bloggers slumming at the Hotel Roosevelt and shmingling with the cast and crew of "On the Lot."

In between all the parties and outings they have planned to sway their independent opinions to the cause of Ford-ness, she'll be dishing out the dirt as only our initmitable Irene can, and posting to her hi-larious comedy blog Bitter Tonic.

Check in often the next few days - and be sure to post your comments to win great prizes (like maybe Irene will take you on her next trip to the Hamptons) .... Irene Duma, Writer, director, comedian, interactive designer, blogging comedy at funny online videos

Confessions of a Pilgrim Launch Event a Dramatic Affair

Confessions of a Pilgrim (i-Universe Publishers / Distributed by White Knight Books) more deeply explores the terrain of multi-talented author Sue Kenney's first book, My Camino. She returns to the celebrated ancient Spanish pilgrimage path to walk 500 kilometers alone on the Portuguese Route. Prior to leaving, she was entrusted with a sacred Eagle Feather by a Native friend as a result of a vivid dream. Her overt mission -- to find a worthy recipient before returning home. But the Camino presents her with dramatic and intensely personal truths, which she shares in her live performance reading here.

Sue's Launch Event in Toronto's Lula Lounge was an opportunity to share a little of that drama through her own reading as well as presentations from friends and artists including fellow pilgrim/author Robert Ward, musician Leon Kingstone, filmmaker Karen Hines (My Name is Pochsy: An Industrial Film), Bruce Pirrie and his comedy troupe The Gents, all brought together under the deft hosting talent of engaging MC Naomi Snieckus with musical direction / accompaniement by Bob Derkach. The BookShorts film similarly entitled "Confessions of a Pilgrim" was also screened.
