Rise in Canadian families "living on the Internet" good news for literacy
Canadians have doubled their visits and use of social media sites in the past six months, and over three million Canadians have uploaded video to private or public web pages, 24% of them have their own page or blog, 34% agree with the statement "I live on the Internet." In a clever spin on a practice prevalent in the singles dating scene, the Children's Booksellers and Publishers Committee, a cooperative committee of the ABA, ABC and CBC, has devised a way for booksellers to get to know authors - quickly.
